The SansAmp XB Driver combines over 30 years of bass tone innovation into one sleek, 100% analog, dual-channel powerhouse. Drawing inspiration from bass legends and Tech 21’s iconic designs, it integrates features from the Bass Driver DI, Para Driver DI, Q\Strip, and dUg Pinnick Ultra Bass 1000.

With 15 knobs and 3 switches, this bi-amp DI toolbox lets you craft everything from clean traditional tones to gritty, aggressive sounds. The independent Clean and Drive channels can be used solo or blended via the Mix footswitch, with sweepable LPF and HPF filters for precise tone shaping.

Whether you’re chasing the layered tones of Geddy Lee, John Entwistle, or Chris Squire, the XB Driver simplifies complex bass amp systems into an intuitive, flexible design. From studio to stage, this tool is built to inspire and elevate your bass performance.

EACH CHANNEL FEATURES:

• BASS, TREBLE
  Active tone controls that cut or boost from 12 o’clock, +/-12dB.
• MID SHIFT and MID
  Sweepable, semi-parametric EQ controls range from 100 Hz to 2 kHz, +/-16dB.
• LEVEL
  Adjusts the output level without altering any of the tonal characteristics.
• MASTER VOLUME
  Affects the overall volume of both channels.

CLEAN CHANNEL FEATURES:

• COMP
  Utilises old school, all-analog, FET-based technology from the 50s and 60s, which is inherently warmer, more transparent, and more musical than other methods of compression.

DRIVE CHANNEL FEATURES:

• DRIVE
  Adjusts the overall amount of gain and overdrive.
• BITE SWITCH
  Activates a presence boost to tighten up the sound in distorted settings and add definition in clean settings.
• PRE/POST SWITCH
  Changes the placement of the mid-range.
• CROSSOVER SWITCH
  Engages the LPF and HPF when in Mix mode.

BUILT-IN SPEAKER/CAB SIM: The 100% analog SansAmp Tube Amplifier Emulation technology encompasses the entire signal chain, from pre-amp to power amp to speaker simulation. An integral part of the circuitry, the SansAmp speaker simulation will complement any type of guitar or bass speaker cabinet system. You can also place an external IR after a SansAmp to give additional flavour if you so desire. The SansAmp speaker sim is designed and individually tailored for a smooth, even response as would be achieved by a multiply-miked cabinet without peaks, valleys, and notches associated with single miking and many IRs.
